Hi... Hello... It's me..
I have been feeling a little unmotivated to write lately. I never want to come on here and write just to write. I want it to always come genuinely from the heart and make it worth reading.
On my latest adventure I got the honor to go see Taylor Swift in concert at NRG Stadium. My friend Ashton thankfully and luckily was able to secure us tickets through the mayhem and I am so happy she did!! This is my second time seeing Taylor in concert and she just puts on an AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, & FABULOUS show. She is obviously a very talented singer but the production that her and her team puts together is just awesome!! So many people go into making this show as great as it is and it was neat to see all the moving parts make it what it was.
She performed 43 songs for 3 straight hours!
43 songs. That just feels unheard of. No breaks, no intermission. Just jam after jam.
The energy in the stadium was really cool to be apart of and witness. The first song she sang I got goose bumps! (Yes I know thats pretty lame) But the energy in there is something I can't seem to describe and put into words. All of this to say, if you can see Taylor Swift at some point in your life... do it. You will not regret it.
*Unless you're my husband. He probably would have been very miserable in that stadium with thousands and thousands of people singing/screaming every word to every song.
Next up on my quick trip to Houston I got to eat at 2 delicious restaurants. If you know anything about me and my travel adventures I like to find good food, great coffee, and squeeze in a workout or yoga class. This trip consisted of good food and great coffee. The workout was staying up till 2am singing with thousands of other fans.
For dinner before the show we ate at Davis St. at Hermann Park. I have been here a couple times before because a good friend of mine is the manager!
Top things you must try if you go:
Crispy Bacon Brussel Sprouts (so good, I usually bring an order home with me)
Crispy Thai Shrimp
Nola Style Charbroiled Oysters (I have only ever had these Oysters and man are they delicious)
Down South Coconut Cake
I have never had a bad thing in this place but those are definitely my top favorites and a must try if you are able to stop in and check it out!
For breakfast before we headed back we went to Dandelion Cafe. Bella raves about this place all the time! Since I have always heard such amazing things I was really looking forward to having the time to go check it out and see what it was all about.
They were really busy when we got there but they were so quick! Food & coffee came out very fast and every employee we interacted with was happy and helpful. They had such cute decor!!
I got a Vanilla Oatmilk Latte and it was just what I needed after a long night! For food I got a buttermilk pancake and the biscuits & gravy. Both were yummy! But the biscuits & gravy had so many flavors all packed into one skillet!! It is a must try if you can make it here.
I also was able to meet one of the owners while there. He sat and talked with us and was so sweet and welcoming and by the taste of his amazing food I can tell he is very talented! I hope to be able to come back to Dandelion Cafe again on my next trip to the area.
That concludes my little quick trip to Houston! 2 days later and I am still very tired...
Thanks for reading! Lets talk again soon... :)
